5, 4, 3, 2, 1… School has begun! Kindergartners at Northvail are loving school! They have settled in nicely and have been busy learning and making friends!
In Math, we have been using the enVisions program. Students have been recognizing, writing, and making the numbers 0-10. For our most recent topic, they were finding different ways to make each number.
With a focus on different areas of our curriculum, and recognizing Thanksgiving, students in Miss Soden and Ms. Maier’s classes created a turkey craft! They practiced their 3 star coloring (coloring in the lines, filling in all white spaces, and using the right colors) to color in the turkey and its feathers. Each student was given a number and had to show different ways to make that number by coloring the feathers. The writing of numbers and colors was also incorporated.
We are so grateful for such a great start to our school year!
