4th Grade Spring News

Thank You Parsippany Education Foundation!

This year the 4th grade teachers received a grant from the

Parsippany Education Foundation to purchase a STEM cart for

our students. We are so thankful that we were given this grant as

our students loved using it to do fun projects and investigations!

So far students have enjoyed creating their own Mt.

Rushmores to celebrate President’s Day, made basketball hoops

and launchers to kick off March Madness, and challenged their

peers by designing marble mazes. We really look forward to more

projects like this in the future and are so grateful to the PEF for

this opportunity!

Turtle Back Zoo

Our 4th graders had an amazing time at our field trip to the

Turtle Back Zoo. For many students, this was their first field trip in

a long time and we are very thankful to the PTA for the

opportunity.

We observed not only the animals, but their habitats and

related them to what we have been learning in our Environments

unit in science. The biggest crowd pleasers were the prairie

dogs, red pandas, giraffes, and the rays and sharks in the touch

tanks. Thank you again to the PTA for a wonderful
